For those of you interested in Rock & Metal...
Rock Revival night EVERY Friday 8pm-2am with drinks offers
www.hullrockers.co.uk
Were the ONLY pub in Hull with a dedicated Rock night that is free to everyone and open till 2am, the DJ is request driven (and easily persuaded with Jagermeister) so if you want to come to a Rock night with music that you actually want to hear, ranging from 70s retro rock right up to pre-released tracks then get yourselves here!

The Ringside is a great venue, the drinks prices are fairly cheap, the sound quality is pretty decent and Ive seen a few great bands there.
Unfortunately the atmosphere is lacking (I think its those tables and chairs, too conference roomy), the stage seems a little small and its usually empty. The emptiness seems to be down to how apathetic the Hull metal community is. Whenever something heavy comes on in Spiders or Attic the dancefloor is packed, but these people just dont care about their local music scene.
The Ringside is punching through even with this lack of concern from the people who should be there every week and for that I applaud them.

I know that alot of the gigs i got too dont draw much of a crowd...WHY!
The bands that play always put in 100 percent and and some of the best talent in the area, and the drinks are cheap and so is entry, it makes a better night out then most nightclubs in hull!
Pretty damn good venue for gigs, I’ve seen many awesome bands play there. The sound is always good and there is plenty of room to fit a large crowd in. However it does seem at times to be lacking in atmosphere when it comes to putting on rock and metal club nights. This could however be down to the apathetic nature of Hull’s metal/rock community.
I know Im biased but this has got to be one of the most versatile venues in Hull!
We do...
Gigs
Dance nights
Parties
Sports teams
Rock nights
Burlesque
Comedy
Race nights
And pretty much anything else offered!
We try to cater to all tastes and fair enough, were stuck with the cheesey diner-style decor downstairs and the function room look upstairs, but when youre seeing an ace band or at a party and the lights are low and the beers good, who gives a toss what the walls look like?
Oh and the toilets dont smell

Essentially its a venue with a lot of potential, its got a lot of space and all that, its just the upstairs stage is just a function room (complete with function room chairs) and downstairs is surreal - its all bright lights and modern-come-80s USA decor, but then its always got the local 40+ female darts team in there, which is weird for what is renowned to be hulls punk venue.
