REVIEW OF GOOD HURT, L.A. SHOW

This 4th July saw four bands grace the stage of The Good Hurt Club on Venice Blvd to celebrate Independence Day. Included in the line up were bands from the U.K. and Ireland as well as homegrown talent.
We’ll cut straight to the chase and tell you about ZHAIN and the buzz they are creating around this town. They are playing three shows in L.A. over the holiday weekend, last night was The Cat Club, tonight The Good Hurt and tomorrow The U.B & G on Lankershim. The buzz is that this is one hell of a rock’n’roll band. I guess tonights show will answer that question.
ZHAIN hit the stage like a whirlwind drawing the audience to the stage from the very first power chord. An anticipation of something special is in the air, this band have the audience in the palms of their collective hands. The energy and excitement generated by ZHAIN is electric, a show worthy of any stadium stage. In fact this is a performance The Stones would be proud of.
A thundering, rhythmic beat overlayed by hook laden guitar and melodies, ZHAIN are irresistible. They had this normally supercool L.A. audience dancing and punching the air to the hottest rock’n’roll show this city has seen in many years.
Everyone had the feeling they’d experienced the future of rock’n’roll, the real deal. No fashion statements, fancy haircuts or bullshit, just a great performance and incredible songs. I’ll be at U.B & G tomorrow night and I suspect that a lot of tonights audience will be as well.
