It’d been a while since I’d been to Chiquitos and to be honest,
I hardly ever nip out for something to eat and when I do Princes Avenue is usually the closest port of call.

I hardly ever nip out for something to eat and when I do Princes Avenue is usually the closest port of call.
I’m not a massive fan of Mexican food either, I don’t like spicy stuff and I don’t eat meat .. so you could say I’m a bit picky.
There wasn’t much choice on the menu when we got there to be honest and being vegetarian I had the choice of veggie Fajitas, some other spicy veggie option and a veggie wrap.
I opted for the veggie wrap, which to be honest looked a little over priced for a wrap. Go to any other café-bar/ Restaurant and you’d expect to pay around a fiver for a wrap but this thing was 7.95, and for the price I was expecting it to be good.
Drinks were free refills, just like you get in Pizza Hut, which I was happy with and when you know it’s free refills you always do tend to take the piss a bit.
After a 20 minute wait and 2 Cokes later the food arrived, and it has to be said that it didn’t look much at all. A few scabby chips and a wrap of some concoction sat on my plate and I just stared at it in amazement but seeing as though I was hank marvin I soon tucked in whilst planning what I could eat after it as I was adamant that I’d still be left with my belly rumbling.
The wrap consisted of the usual veggie stuff, lettuce, cucumber, onions and some sort of cheesy stuff that was really nice but a little messy as it dribbled out of the end of my wrap on each bite like a sloppy mangaffe*. Chips were, well, as good as Chips come, thinish and crispy, pretty good and then there was a tiny side salad of exactly the same stuff that was in my wrap, pointless.
Despite my whining and constant moaning throughout this review it has to be said that I was left full up to the brim and struggling at the last few bites with the veggie equivalent of meat sweats starting to appear upon my forehead. The meal was sufficient and did it’s job but I don’t think I’ll bother going back there anytime soon, I don’t even know why I went there in the first place seeing as though I’m veggie, and hate spicy stuff, I might as well have gone to a Hog Roast with Mr & Mrs Tabasco themselves and tried to find something to eat.
It may be your sort of thing though.
