Ive seen these guys twice now. Once in lovely hometown Hull and once at Carling Leeds Festival 07. Both gigs were brilliant but the Hull one was slightly better as it was a bit more personal. I had only heard two of their songs when i went to see them for the first time and despite this i was hooked within 5 minutes of seeing them play. I quickly got their album and it became one of my all-time faves. If you havent heard them then give them a listen!

Earlier this year, i had the pleasure of seeing the maccabees live, at a festival. granted they were on fairly early on in the day, they played ferociously and had a blinding set. Many songs were new to me but became my favourite songs after witnessing them live. i can wait until i get to see them again play for longer, it surely will be an amazing gig.
