Opposite the Church isn't what I'd call the ideal place to place a Bar. Especially one thats bright Red and Yellow on the outside, it totally stands out from the rest of the village centre but not in a great way. To me it just looks a little tacky.
The street that the bar is on has such narrow pavement that you literally have to walk on the road to dodge the smokers outside havin a fag as theres no other area for them to go and not everyone can fit on the pavement.
There were 2 door staff on the door which is smaller then my front door, there really wasnt any need for them to be there, they just made the outside area even more crowded.
On the plus side the loos were very clean and tidy and they played all sorts of music, well, maybe too many different genres of music actually!
To be totally honest I dont think i'll be going back there anytime soon, although Hessle is building up quite a collection of bars at the moment, I'll stick to Princes Avenue until theres even more options.
