Different Language, it’s that time again…

Hull’s favourite DJ and producing Duo

Different Language consists of Martin Hodgson and Rob Reims, a pair of old school friends who, since forming back in 2006 are now the hosts of the Lamps hottest Terrace Parties. Their 1st terrace party last year was a huge success as the duo transformed The Lamp into a Moroccan party paradise attracting crowds of clubbers to their daytime party. The Lamp had never hosted an event like this, with an outdoor BBQ serving everything from Falafel to spicy beans with grapes hanging from the terrace, Sangria, outdoor DJs and Moroccan décor the punters got the full feel of being in a sunkissed paradise whilst only yards away from a bustling Beverley Road!

Clubbers turned up on their bank holiday Sunday to start the party early, and staying in the Different Language bliss for the full day, by 9pm the bar was packed, inside and out. The Lamp had never experienced such a club like atmosphere so it was no surprise that Different Language were invited back again, and again.

Their terrace parties have carried on taking place each Bank Holiday since, inviting special guest DJ’s each time to pull even bigger crowds with the likes of Work DJ’s, Dan Doran and Simon Baker.

Despite Different Language Terrace Parties being the highlight of a Bank Holiday Sunday, Déjà vu have never failed to put on a huge night at The Welly Club till the early hours of a Monday morning. Teaming together Different Language and Déjà vu supply what can only be described as the best and most looked forward to Dance party on a Bank Holiday Weekend. Clubbers start the party early at the Different Language Terrace party from 2pm to get them well in the party mood and hyped up for Déjà vu just minutes away. As the Terrace Party comes to an end Déjà vu is just getting warmed up and never fails to put on a massive big name DJ on a Bank Holiday, making the 2 events compliment each other perfectly and are well worth staying in on the Saturday night to save yourself for!

Different Language has become the perfect side dish to the already massive Déjà vu and have impressed so much that the pair now also hold a monthly party in the newly refurbished Room 2 of The Welly Club

If talk of parties has left you with itchy feet then you don’t need to wait too long till the next one, which takes place Sunday (obviously) 23rd March, so put down the Easter eggs and come and join the party at Lamp from 2pm, don’t drive, bring your wallet and explain to your other half that you might not be back till the morning!
