If your a Hulll City fan and live for theTigers check out Jim Danbys track called funnily enough, Tigers. On the chart this week. An anthem that should be sung at every City game. Take it to the terraces!

Keep an Eye out for From Boothferry To Wembley The Book, out THIS FRIDAY. Dedicated to the loyal supporters of Hull City throughout the years by Gary Clark (yes, me dad) a fellow loyal supporter from back in the day when City were bottom were at the lowest of the low to now, 2008, could this be Hull Citys year?
A very interesting and amusing read.

Tigers fan Gary Clark introduces his new book "From Boothferry To Wembley".

At the age of 54 I made one of the biggest decisions of my life. I sold the business that I had spent over twenty years building up to devote my time to following Hull City in their first ever season in the Premier League.

The price I took for my business, Chanterlands DIY in Hull, doesnt set me up for a life of Riley, far from it. In fact it wouldnt even pay off my mortgage, yet I had little choice.

I have waited all of my life to see City play in the top flight. In over forty-odd years of support for the Tigers I have made many sacrifices to get to matches, mostly relegation dog-fights in front of three to four thousand similair die-hards and I would not have it any other way.

Hull City are my team and my support for them has never wavered and I didnt want to miss a single second of our first season in the Premier League, although that is very likely now the club have suddenly changed the way the away tickets are to be allocated. I now have as much chance of an away ticket as someone who bought a season ticket during Wembley week and probably didnt know Hull had a football club of its own before that.

My current pseudonym is Karl Berg, but I have been many different people over the years, Tom Watson, M.Mercer, E.G.Chaser, Paul Lighthouse, Ken Clarkson, even G.Clark on occasions. Some people say I am biased, they are wrong, I am very biased but I would like you to judge that for yourselves. My subject is usually the same, I fight the corner for Hull City and their supporters. Before Adam Pearson gave us back our dignity we were the most downtrodden, ridiculed and underrrated bunch of fans in the country. Yet my belief always was that no other club in the land would have a hardcore following like ours if their trophy cabinet was as empty as ours had been for so long.

The book is called From Boothferry to Wembley and is released on Saturday October 11th, price £10.99. Available to buy from both Tiger Leisure outlets and in all WH Smiths in Hull, including the city centre, Prospect Centre, Whitefriargate, Kingswood and Beverley outlets. Also Browns on George Street in Hull where I am doing a book signing from 11am on Saturday. I also have a book signing at WH Smiths, Prospect Centre Hull at 1.00pm on October 18th. Also available from Saturday Oct 11th in Chapel Street News, Hull city centre. Online the book can be purchased from me at garyclarktiger@garyclarktiger.karoo.co.uk, price £10 plus a donation towards postage would be nice.

Friend of mine just emailed me from Australia and City have a following there now. A new branch in South Africa and Hull musician Jon Sumpton has formed a supporters club in Norway called the Arctic Tigers with their own website. The Tiger nation is spreading its wings, long may it continue, West Brom away on Saturday is a sellout, Chelsea home next weds is sold out and Manchester United away week on Sat is black market tickets only. Even the reserves at home to Manchester United in a sell out with only standing room left. What price the extension at the stadium now? Have you heard the council are looking at putting a direct rail link in straight to the stadium? HULL IS TAKING OFF, thanks to the Tigers!!! COMEONUHULL!!!!!

EXACTLEY. What more do we need to do to prove to the piggin council that the KC needs an extention? And with a premiership team attracting so many more fans we need to boot out the rugby, they deserve to play at the likes of shitty craven park. and ONLY craven park, keep em off the grass eh?

direct rail link? its a 10 minute walk from the station already! I can see why your called tubbylard...

The direct rail link will be for away fans and fans travelling into Hull. Also look at the bigger picture, the rail link will be the first development at the KC since the stadium was completed. There is a lot more to come, thats why Duffen and his consortium bought City in the first place, they are after all property developers. You need to be asking the council why you cannot get tickets for home games and when are they going to start the extension? If they are not going to fund the extension are they then going to sell the stadium, or lease it, to Paul Duffen so he can extend it. The second City are guaranteed a place in the Premier League next season the extension to the stadium should begin, and the eggchasers moved across to the boulevard until the work is completed, or moved into the West Stand.
