The 28th September will be the date for the next Hull Vintage Fair and Hull Fashion Rocks!
The event is going to be the biggest one yet, with loads of stalls (including lots of Menwear)
You can expect, vintage pieces from all eras as well as one off and quirky designs from up and coming designers!
Upstairs there will be Hull Fashion Rocks showcasing catwalks from Pixie Dust Designs, Bed 14 and more of Hulls finest designers!
There will be a DJ set from Hulls the garys upstairs all day.
Doors open at 12 Noon, so get there early browse the stalls, watch the catwalks, have a few drinks and maybe have a dance (if you have had enough to drink)
Hullvibe will be covering the event, so what else could be better to do on a sunday afternoon!
See you all there and start spreading the word

Is it going to be better than the last one stall-wise? I mean not to sound a bit ungrateful, but all the so-called vintage stuff was actually retro????
Vintage stuff is really from sort of the 50s and backwards and I couldnt find much of that last time *sniff* it was all emo-indie type 80s stuff, reproduction-retro and leather jackets

We try to get all types of different stall holders, but im affraid we dont control what they bring. The stall holders bring what sells.
There will be loads more stuff for men this time though, plus local designers offering complete one off designs for the people who arent keen on wearing vintage.

To my (limited) knowledge, vintage is used to describe anything 25 years old or more, anything newer is retro or simply second hand. (I worked Saturdays at Beasleys for, like, a whole year? So Im now a total expert on fashion, and stuff?)

Generally speaking, clothing which was produced before the 1920s is referred to as antique clothing and clothing from the 1920s to 1980 is considered vintage.
Although it is called hull vintage fair, we dont want to limit to just vintage clothing its a fair to celebrate fashion in Hull, weather its a boutique offering quirky designs or vintage.
Some of the bigger stalls do offer vintage from many area, but like i mentioned stall holders are going to bring what sells, no point bringing 100s of items from one era and seling a few things, when they have knowledge of what sells and more important makes them a profit.
If there is something you are looking for that you cant find, talk to the stall holders, they may have something they havent brought (as they cant bring all their stock) or be able to source it for you.
The earlier you get there to more chance you are of getting the cool stuff, the last fair my friend got a 1950s millitary band jacket which was amazing!!

Thanks for clearing that up for me! I just get fed up of going into vintage shops and finding out that everything is either 70s, 80s or crap remakes of stuff. Id love some proper 1920s and 30s stuff but Hull shops just dont seem to have anything like that on offer 
Even Leeds isnt that good unfortunately (or am I looking in the wrong places???)
Ill definately pop down for a look, otherwise its back to Ebay for me

i try to make a selection of each item, enough to meet demand but not enough so you see everyone in one xx
