this weeks gigs from Music HQ.....
.....well its a stormer of a week look at these to clear up your Summertime Blues:
Tuesday - Mugwump at Sharkeys, George Street, Hull, 3 band indie guitar biil busting at the seams with great bands: Liberty Stands, The Bron-y-aurs & The 500 Club - first band on at 9pm - free entry and just down the road from Attic if you want a great warm up before Grapevine
Wednesday - The Nith Circle at Sharkeys, George Street, Hull, another 3 band bill and certainly something a bit bit different for our rock/metal night - headliner Hayokee playing progressive, hurdy gurdy driven hard rock guaranteed to get your head nodding & feet taping. Support King Pin Kong - a young rock/punk band from Market Weighton/York area, both are great bands who have played at Sharkeys before and we cant wait to have them back. Also we have an extra act in Chasing Freedom playing tunes on his Gameboy & Kaos Pad!!!!!. - free entry and again a great alternative/warm up to Attics rock night kicking off around 9pm.
Also Wednesday - Acoustic Wednesday at The Lair, Analby Road, Hull (next to the bus/train station) - 3 acts confirmed so far but with possibly a 4/5th to come as well - The Original Sin, Doug Peters, Freya - possibly the most eclectic weekly acoustic night in Hull, friendly & fun and in one of the nicer venues in the city - £2 entrance and live music from 9pm.
Saturday - Clarence Acoustic at The New Clarence - covers & originals - just had our act cancel this week so if you want a paid gig and can provided your own PA let me know and Ill see about getting you booked in
cheers Darren, Music HQ
