Tuesday

Tonight at Mugwump we have the wonderful Hull band The Zealots www.myspace.com/the3zealots ready to rip the stage up at Sharkeys (George Street, free entry, first band on at 9.30) with support from a brilliant band from the Northeast called The Stonedrifters www.myspace.com/stonedrifters

if you cant stand the hype around The Paddingtons or actually want to be able to get served at the bar get to Sharkeys to catch two great bands, live music from 9.30, great cocktails and only a short stagger to Attic for Grapevine later on.

Wednesday

We have a packed Acoustic Wednesday gig at The Lair (next to the Railway station on Anlaby Road) with The Incredible Sulk, Paul McDowell, I Alexander, Freya, Rob Phoenix & The Magic Mind £2 entrance, doors open at 8pm

and at The Nith Circle at Sharkeys (George Street) we have top York rock band Section 30 www.myspace.com/section30live with support from a brand new rock/punk covers band Six Degree Of Seperation who promise Blink 182, Lit & more. Free entry with first band on stage at 9.30

cheers Darren, Music HQ

hey hey hey, I got told off by one of the forum users for nicking your thread a while ago

I guess Linnet is going to be a little busy tonight, personally 59 Violets are my favourites on that line up, closely followed by The Talks and am I the only person in Hull not to like The Paddingtons stuff? My claim to fame is giving their first single a bad review in the Hull Daily Mail a few years ago. show how much I know eh?

Hope you have a good one tonight and if there is room I might squeeze into Grapevine for a pint later.

cheers Darren, Music HQ

ps what a week for local gigs, ours, The Sesh & a great line up at The Lamp on Wednesday as well plus loads of other stuff going on.

Its a little depressing that nobody apart from the promoters commented on this thread. What a great night for Hull music, I hope all have a good time, wherever they go! Afraid Ill be missing out tonight as I have a rehearsal to be at :-(

yep a bit depressing Mike but glad to say we had a great turn out for The Zealots who played a nice tight set with some cool new songs, I would guess Linnet was a success as well, hope the rehearsal went well for you guys and check your myspace messages about your new CD

cheers Darren, Music HQ
