Springboard Festival 2008 - The Duke Of Cumberland Venue Running Order
Hi everybody,
below is the running order & approximate times for the Duke of Cumberland venue during the Springboard 2008 Festival at Cottingham. The Duke is situated on Cottinghams main square/market place so is in a great position for passing trade and as an introduction to the festival.
In only three years the festival has gone from a one day event at the King Billy pub to a 3 day festival across 5 different and unique venues with over 100 diverse acts so there really is something for everyone
Its difficult to highlight individual acts when the running order at the Duke is so strong but Friday night headliners Silverlode are something very special in their prog/skiffle/folk rock style, Saturdays acoustic sessions include top Hull indie band The Favours and then some great full band sets from The Sedgwicks featuring James from Kal-Els cape on guitar, top folk rock/americana style music from Circus Envy and flat out psychedelic groove based rock from Hayokee who are making a real name for themselves after gigs at The Lamp & Sharkeys in recent weeks as well as Off The Tracks Festival at Donnington.
Sunday is a more chilled out afair until the grovemeister Adrian Byron Burns blasts us away with his powerful acoustic blues mid afternoon.

well had a storming couple of days, just this afternoons chilled out stuff for me and then I can take it easy for a day or so, special mention should go to The Favours who played a great acoustic set, Liberty Stand who played fast & loud on the Teen Spirit stage upstairs from our bit and Hayokee who blew the roof off last night (and set the fire alarm off as well),
