with regards to what is said its hard to take it as "nothing personal"

We made it clear to Live Booking when you booked gigs at Ringside that we wanted nothing to do with Benny Jenner as his name spells disaster in regards to gigs! Mention Benny Jenner and people instantly think of the car crash that was Horrorfest.

We dont want our business associating with a promoter who hides behind a multitude of aliases, doesnt pay bands and claims to bands to have slept with most of my staff including myself (we have proof of all of these in case youre thinking of the legal implications of my words).

Learn to run a business, show respect to bands, fans and venues before you consider booking any more gigs in Hull, Benny.

Ok, so im not from Hull... Im from Bournemouth & Poole but i know Benny Jenner so incredibly well, He came down with his own money, off his own back! not looking to get any profit or extra money ontop. He has the capability to fill places up to the full! and i mean it becuase he came down to this venue, which was fairly new and didnt have much of a scene... but he made the place packed!
with the local support of the bands he was able to create one of the best atmospheric metal nights that i have ever seen!
Im in a band, and i would happily have him promote a gig for me, because i am a friends and i trust his words, every promoter makes mistakes, i mean like.. .were not robots lol!
looking at it from my point of view because i have worked in a music venue, promoted and been in a live band and looked into it from an outside view and i know he tries his god damn hardest to do what he can. i have stood by him ever since i found out that he was doing HorroFest, yeah... ok, epic fail. but who cares? thewres going to be plenty more oppertunities to re-create something better with his help.
You may think im stupid...but i believe in him! and coming from someone who doesnt see him 364 days of the year, i think thats coming a bit tight to steal someones job, or rip it from them.

Im done for the moment, if you disagree, which i know alot of you do, i will also help to make sure he gets people to shows too!
Its also the Credit crunch at the moment, which does effect venues & people alike and we all feel the strain, and with stripping his job from him.... its not on.

why are you making such a big commotion because of one gig and a few payments? if they didnt have the money to pay them then thats proberley because people like you are banning them from venues in Hull.
These people (live booking agency and Benny) put a good gig on, better the the majority in Hull, and they find some of the best bands out because nobody else is willing to gamble on them and your going to take that away?
well its just selfish, and sly that you are trying to carry on and put the gigs on when they wernt yours to put on to begin with
so if your going to put him out of a job and make his life harder, then how is ringside going to make so much without Benny to put on the best most popular gigs ?! huh?! so soon enough, evreywhere else will be making more money then you,because theyll be getting the gigs.
try working that one out.

im not from hull but i no people who are and that the music scene for shows and stuff is dying beacuse of benny not doing shows there anymore beacuse of problems in the past
benny isnt even that bad of a guy
plus without him there is going to be less gig intrest down at the ringside
me being in a band myself i rarley see a decent promoter from hull which as i have already mentioned is f**ked for the scene around the area
ive actually had gig plans with benny and now that hes been forced to stop promoting at the ringside beacuse of some problems it is now messed up for my band our anyother band out of the hull area to get into the scene down there
i have also heard of the venue taking over shows without benny which tbh is pretty Shitty because they could atleast have the decencey to let him do his own shows

its okay you all slagging Benny off right but yeh i agree he messed hororfest up not paying all the bands most of them still played right?had a good day (:
He has brought some of the big names to out own town (Y), give him credit for that!!
hes always put good gigs on, why should hull loose a mass percentage of there gigs when banning Benny?!??
ive attended alot of bennys gigs because hes got alot of the bands that i have wanted to see, so i think banning him will make alot of people annoyed and make hulls music scene go down.

I dont know why your all arguing about this, its none of your business, its between Benny and Ringside.

RINGSIDE:
They dont let working with promoters who cause hassle, which is fair enough they have a business to run which must be hard enough without having bands that need paying arguing on there doorstep.
And also on a few occasions bennys attitude has been a little unfair towards ringside. Benny im just being honest you know what im like.

BENNY:
He puts on good gigs, but hulls scene isnt strong enough for him to put on gigs where 90% of the bands arent from hull.
So hes not gunna make money on a gig where 4 bands need petrol money and only 30/40 kids has turned up to the gig.
And to be fair, benny doesnt learn, hes been putting on gigs at ringisde for over a year now, and should no by now how many people come to metal gigs in hull, therefore should only put on 1 or 2 bands that arent from hull, as bands from hull playing in hull wont be bothered about pay.

So to be fair this has been a long time coming.
And all you nosey bastards having a go at Wayne and Anna for carrying on the gigs can go shut the f**k up becuase they aint doing it to make money on the gigs, there doing it so that the kids that want to see the bands still can see the bands.
Not everything is about f**king money.

You all seriosuly need to get a f**king life, there was metal gigs before benny started putting them on in hull, and there will be after.

ok right been readin all this shit you been talkin bout Benny n TBH i think its f**kin bullshit tbh. ive known Benny for a few months now since my band (As Worlds Collide) became a part of Live Agency. and since then i can safely say we have moved forward MORE and grown as a band and as individuals all because of this mo fo your slaggin off. let me give you some examples of what he has done for us.... alot of you mentioned about how Benny never pays his bands i can tell you now that Benny booked us a Tour next year in April which IS all Confirmed (AND ive seen proof) as well as this he has guaranteed us £50 pounds per show and all the venues on this tour have agreed to this (AGAIN ive seen proof) so i think ive basically f**ked your accusation right up the ass there. im not sayin there havent been times where he hasnt payed bands im just saying EVERYONE makes mistakes ALL bands get fooled around at least once in there time and i tell you there are much worse promoters out there. i wont name names. other examples of benny doin wat he has done for us is the gig booking and promotion side of things. since weve worked with him he has introduced hundreds upon thousands of new people to our music when we first met him our friends list was approximatly 1000 odd which for a band is dyer we now have nearly 4000 friends which still isnt as good as some bands out there but its a dam load better than what we were. we get loads and loads of comments every day from kids saying wow you guys are amazing thankyou so much and thank god you added me when we didnt even add them its all down to benny and if you dont believe me (www.myspace.com/asworldscollide) the comments section is there for you all to see. Now ive never been to Hull ive never been to the ringside and i havent met the staff but when i talk to the people from hull and i ask them about their music scene and they tell me they love it they love going to the ringside and watching bands that Benny puts on im sure over the years he has made them alot of money occasionaly bringing more established acts along so ive heard from people and i think that the ringside should take a good long look at what its doin atm and actually take time to think about weather they should reli ban him from booking gigs. now some of you may sit there and think wait a sec this guys not even from our area why is he givin HIS opinion on our music scene the answer is simple i f**kin love live music n it will piss me off if a city with a great music scene throws it away over a few meezly quid which werent paid to some shitty bands at the end of the day guys WHAT HAPPENED TO IT BEIN ABOUT THE MUSIC!!!!! everyones so f**kin money orientated nowadays.
