Stuff happening this week from Music HQ
Its Monday and Im not at my proper job so it must be time for a quick run down of what wonderful gigs we have lined up for you lucky people this week.
Before I do that, a quick appology, I have a ton of emails and Myspace messages to get through so if you are waiting for a gig confirmation/other info dont worry it will be coming along shortly, I havnt forgotten you,
cheers Darren, Music HQ
Tuesday 28th April
Mugwump at Sharkeys Live featuring Hull tightest band and Music HQ regulars The Cliques www.myspace.com/thecliquesband and a some new faces to us in support band Kick Riot www.myspace.com/kickriot - guitartastic night on the cards?
Wednesday 29th April
The Ninth Circle at Sharkeys Live with Fado Rock www.myspace.com/fadorock and their classic rock tinged metal tracks with support from XIII www.myspace.com/musicbyxiii and their thrashy ull metal - itll be heavy & thats before you start on Sharkeys cocktails !!!
Acoustic Wednesday at The Lair another bumper bill of great acoustic based acts, this week with The Shift headlining, based in France normally but over in the UK for a tour, Fazzini www.myspace.com/fazziniuk from Leeds who has on his myspace page "Outre Rock & Inward Psych Folk" which describes him better than I can, more visitors from Leeds in Spring www.myspace.com/springtheband - both these acts have appeared previously at Acoustic Wednesday and are well worth seeing. Also on the bill are Making Autumn who appeared under another name previously (which escapes me, it must be my age) and Bridlingtons Shirley Higton www.myspace.com/shirleyhigtonmusic with her piano based songs of politics & comedy & more.
Thursday 1st May
Live at The Lair featuring the amazing rock & metal of The Howling Mad Ribena Berries www.myspace.com/thehowlingmadribenaberries - they blew the roof off The Lair last time they played and also put in a great set at Sharkeys with their new singer a few weeks ago, not to be missed if you like big guitars, drums hit hard and classic rock & metal songs, I cant wait personally.
Saturday 3rd May
Clarence Acoustic with two great acoustic acts Stevie Rigsby www.myspace.com/stevierigsby from Leeds/Beverley and Hulls Alex Stork www.myspace.com/alexstorkmusic
For info on any of the above gigs go to www.myspace.com/musichq or email darren.bunting@yahoo.co.uk - or even better come and see us at a gig.
