So, weve had a month to get used to it

Debate aside, its here to stay, so with that in mind, which places do fellow stinky hull vibers think are dealing with it particularly well or badly

At the moment, anyone who has a beer garden is getting away with it, but I reckon well be picking and choosing a bit more carefully when it gets a bit chillier

Bar/pub wise, Im quite a fan of the linnets little smoking hut....its very housey and homely, although I must complain about the fact that Ive seen NON-SMOKERS in there!!!!!!!!!!! The cheek of the sanctimonious swine, they get us kicked outside and then start piling in our den

Propaganda also get good marks for a bit of effort

A lot of places need to sort out the issue of taking your drinks outside though

Its quite annoying in places like Piper and attic, having to queue to get in, queue to get a drink, then having to have your drink and then having to go stand outside......in fact sometimes having to queue to get back out in the case of piper.....and I dont understand why you cant take drinks outside at piper as its a private, designated area.....unlike attic where I guess the problem is that youre basically on the street

Looking forward to seeing the new jobbie at welly when its done, and likwise fuel if it aint done already

Anyone else got any woo hoos, boos or general tips on this topic?

Yours smokily and croakily

Well as a non smoker I have found myself going out a lot more because I dont come home smelling like an old ashtray!

I welcome the new revolution of being able to go to the pub, have a pint and not come home smelling of other peoples fags!

Just my 2p worth

I never minded coming home, stinking of fags.

But now its bloody freezing and far too cold to whip outside for a quick fag fix.

In this weather you have to wear a coat out and itd be a pain in the arse to be in a club and keep having to go back to get your coat just because you want a fag...GRRRR and BRRRR!!

is there anywhere that has a heated outdoor smoking area before i freeze to death?

Has anyone else noticed how since the smoking ban came in, piper permanently has a stinky aroma of wet dog and pish soaked tramp about it?

Funny to revisit this thread though

Especially since the welly STILL havent finished theirs

I hope theyre not paying the builders by the hour

If the builders that put those tesco express places were doing it, it would have been done in one of the gaps I leave between fags, sneaky little blighters that they are

I like going outside as a non-smoker because the smokers are alot more interesting and usually less uptight, not to mention its nice to cool down outside, has sugarmill got a balcony?

I hate to agree with you ragutter but one of the reasons why Im so reticent to give up the evil weed is that most non-smokers are indeed boring, sanctimonious c**ts and Id hate to become one of them

Its one of lifes great personality divides

I wonder which gene it is that makes it so?

i agree, non smokers ARE boring c**ts, all the best people smoke, its where you meet new ppl in the smoking area.

pozition have a good smoking area, you can drink, hear music and smoke at the same time just like the good old days on their roof terrace

i dont know if sugarmill has a balcony, when ive been i had to ,keep going downstairs to go for a fag, bearing in mind the bloody place has about 10 floors, its knackering

Did anyone see the thing in the news about some pub in America that has managed to get round the smoking ban by putting on theatre nights

Apparently theres some law which says that if smoking is part of the performance then its allowed inside

So they just invite everyone in the pub who wants to smoke to sign up to be an actor for the evening and bobs your uncle

I like sneaky thinking like that
