Ive just started a new night in me hometown Cleethorpes and i'm looking for some quality regional bands to come play (and djs!!)
The night's called LOUNGIN'...where myself and my sensei Jimmy Jazz play across the tracks kinda stuff..funk/soul/jazz/latin/reggae/hiphop/breaks & beats etc..YOU know the sorta vibe!
The bar we're in isnt big by any stretch but theyve had bands before and we've got a 6 piece playing on our 2nd night this Friday...
We're just trying to do something different in a town that suffers from an identity or a scene. So if you are a band that suits or know of any bands that might suit, i'd really appreciate a holler, or is that a huller?

Is ther much about in Cleethorpes? is it just a bar or more of a club? how big? is it in a popular area? it kinda hard to suggest good local hull bands to a venue when you dont know what its like,
cant you post some pics of it in ere?
Are you plannin on putting on acts just once a month or once a week type thing?

It's a bar. And not that big at all maybe 2/300 max. Its only been going for a few months so still early days. Its just off Cleethorpes 'high' street, so is absolutely central.
Instead of me posting pics here's the myspace link, www.myspace.com/barbabylon ..
the photos probably dont do it justice but ya get the flava..
The bar itself are running nights every week, with bands and djs... all i'm concerned about is the night i'm running which IS monthly.
holler huller

Is what launched as a new thing?
There's a tiny wee budget for bands but as the bar has only just opened they're hoping to pull a few favours and try and keep costs down. I guess it works both ways in the sense its exposure for the band and entertainment for the bar. I understand everyone needs to get paid as i'm a DJ myself, tho usually the whiff of free booze is enough for me (god am so cheap).. but negotiations is always a good place to start right!?
So, after your 20 questions have you got any info on any suitable bands that might be up for it huh?
