A prodigiously talented singer-songwriter, Hornseas Abbie Lammas might only be fifteen, but shes cranking out songs that are mightily mature for her age. Heartbroken is her debut album, and its an eight-song-strong affair that perfectly shows off Abbies talents. For the most part, the songs feature just her and her trusted acoustic guitar, though there are a couple of notable exceptions.
Every track is an absolute gem, with a mesmerizing rendition of The Cranberries Zombie nestling in and amongst seven original songs.
Coming on like a cross between Avril Lavigne, Dolores O’Riordan and Amy McDonald, Abbie performed five numbers, including Give In, Ballerina Girl and Trapped. With a voice like hers, Abbie deserves to be signed in a flash. What’s more, she’s only 15 written by steve rudd in a recent article from the driffield post.
